She started acting at twelve on a radio drama. By the time she turned fifteen, she was performing on the air regularly. In the late 1930s, when she was only in her twenties, June had her own starring series Lady Make Believe.               June continued to work regularly on the radio during the following decades on such shows as The Lux Radio Theatre and Sherlock Holmes. In the 1940s, she began doing voiceovers for animated cartoons. In the next decade, she worked at various cartoon studios, particularly Walt Disney, MGM, and Warner Brothers.
