This is Soup Can I (2005), the first of the series and part of the original Beautiful Losers Portfolio. Extremely rare. The Fairey Soup Cans are absolute grail works by the artist. Much more rare and smaller edition sizes than most of the artist’s prints. Originally conceived as a set of four, Soup Can 1 was published in 2005 to be included in the super rare Beautiful Losers Portfolio, which is a boxed set of 27 prints by Beautiful Losers artists. It wasn’t until 2009 that Beautiful Losers and Fairey got around to publishing the other three prints in the set. Fairey nailed it. The color combinations are both stunning and unique.
