They both reside in the city's collective memory as icons and scenes of the civil war: strategic outpost for snipers, overlooking the city's major artery transformed into a demarcation line between East and West Beirut.This picture is from a series that depicts Beirut from a certain distance. Like a vague reminiscence and lingering image of the city. A point of view from which pervades a sense of surveillance and disquieted observation.
