The Watch: The Master Collection Moonphase is Longines doing complexity at scale—classic looks, stacked complications, and all of it priced well below what the layout might suggest. The 40mm stainless steel case houses a silver barleycorn guilloché dial with blued steel hands and a full calendar chronograph display. The dial packs in a lot: day and month apertures beneath 12, moonphase and date pointer at 6, and 24-hour and small seconds registers flanking left and right. Despite all that, it stays legible, thanks to smart spacing and traditional styling. Powering the watch is the Caliber L687, an automatic column-wheel chronograph based on the ETA 7751, modified for better performance and visibility through the sapphire caseback. It comes fitted with a brown alligator strap and deployant clasp. A Swiss triple-calendar chronograph with moonphase from a heritage brand—for the price of most microbrand divers.
