Award description "Five flat, striking flowers and two buds on two 10-cm inflorescences; flower coffee-brown, overlaid grape purple distally, pale lavender basally overlaid coffee-brown in concentric rings; petals prominent ribs; lip white, overlaid pale lavender, midlobe heavily overlaid violet, side lobes golden yellow, blush violet distally; column white, overlaid lavender, anther cap cream; substance very heavy; texture satiny."  flower size at time of award 4.5 cm x 4.4 cm
