This is a massive and very attractive columbian mammoth tooth from the Pleistocene of North Florida. The species is Mammoth columbi. It measures 6 1/2" long. There are some absolutely beautiful colors on this specimen. It’s color is a natural river stain from the tanins in the water.  It has been coated with a preservative so it will be safe to handle for many years to come.
