
2007/2009 Caiarossa Caiarossa Super IGT Duet
If you've been to Tuscany, you know magic imbues the air, land and wine. Owners of the famed Grand Cru Classe properties in Margaux, Ch. Giscours and Ch. du Tertre, were intoxicated by the potential of this property located south of Pisa and purchased it in 2003. After upgrading the property with feng shui inspiried new cellars, biodynamic farming, and a crew that included a winemaker with degrees from both Dijon and Bordeaux, Caiarossa was born. Named after the red earth (think Etruscan pottery) and the mother of all gods, Gaia, the top wine is a mystical blend of Bordeaux varietals, Sangio, etc. As buyers, we see deals every day, but this one was too good to pass up.
