Jamis Renegade S4 LTD

The first steel frame model in Jamis' Renegade lineup is built with Reynold's 520 tubing, the gold standard is chromoly steel since the 1980s. The frameset, matched with a full carbon fiber fork up front offers a noticeably better ride quality than comparable aluminum bikes. For this LTD edition of the S4 the shifter and derailleur have been upgraded to microshift Advent X in a 1x 10 setup since Shimano has discontinued the Sora component group. The gears are a very hill friendly 40T chainring up front and 46T low gear in back. The mechanical disc brake calipers are Tektro flat mount mechanical cable actuated with 160mm wavey rotors. Braking on the A1 is better than standard rim brake calipers, particularly off-pavement, but not as powerful as full hydraulic discs.
