Soy wax is known to develop a dusty, frost-like appearance over time.  A little about our signature candles: These candles are made with all natural soy wax and scents that are free from carcinogens and phthalates. All candles made at Blackthorn Trading Post are hand poured. This means that each individual candle is a one of a kind.These pillar candles are made using molds, which could result in a seam line where the mold meets. Some seams are more noticeable than others, however this is not a reason for returns/replacements as the candles are still capable of burning efficiently.Wax and Fragrances are meticulously measured to ensure consistency; however, the colors are measured with my heart & soul, ensuring every item is unique.   *BTP Ritual Candles are fragrance free
