Universal needles are used for most types of home machines and are available in a variety of sizes. They have a normal round point designed for general sewing on a home sewing machine.  The ORGAN Universal Ball Point Needle has a slightly rounded tip that allows it to slide between fibers, rather than pierce them, thereby reducing "runs" in the fabric. Basically, ballpoint needles prevent the cutting and snagging of fabric.  The ballpoint needle is ideal for sewing on knits, piques, and fleece. They are commonly known by the reference number 130/705H.  The type HAx1 (130/705H) fits home sewing machines unless your manual states otherwise.  Material: Steel Needle Systems: 15x1, 130R, HAx1, PF130, SY2020, and SY2031 Machine Needle Use:  Ball Point / Stretch  10 needles per package.
