Dead Alive is the creative brainchild of the band's skeletal corpse paint-wearing frontman, "Count Scapula." Inspired by cult classic horror movies and the metal culture surrounding once underground bands of the 70s and 80s, the Count orchestrated this 8-song LP around the themes and imagery of the skeleton monster.  Dead Alive formed initially in 2015 after departing playing guitar from a local modern rock band on his way to Illinois for college. The Count and his co-guitarist from that band "Manthing" wanted to make metal music "you could feel in your bones," writing an early draft of the album's 2nd trac
