Aster divaricatus Commonly known as White Wood Aster, this perennial features an abundance of white flowers with yellow to red centers. It blooms in the fall when most other plants have finished for the season.  Plant in part sun to shade with dry to average well-drained soils. An important late season pollinator source. Can become drought tolerant once established and makes a nice cut flower. Rabbit and deer resistant. Perfect for planting in shaded areas to give a cottage garden look.  Works well in borders, butterfly gardens and on banks and slopes. Plant with Sedum, Brunnera, Anemone and Actaea as garden companions.  Native to the Eastern United States. Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot.
