Camellia 'Pink Serenade'

Camellia japonica 'Pink Serenade' 'Pink Serenade’ is a beautiful flowering, evergreen shrub. Featuring attractive, glossy dark green leaves and very showy, bright pink anemone-stye flowers with bright yellow stamens that bloom in early to mid-spring.  This variety is hardier than most varieties and a reliable producer of color in your garden. Blooms 4-5 inch semi-double flowers with pink petals tipped in dark pink and almost-white glowing centers. Expect blooms in spring months and fall. Perfect to plant in large pots or as a foundation plant in your garden. Well-adapted to the acidic soils beneath oaks, conifer, and maples as well as mixed groves. Grows 8-10 feet high and 6-8 feet wide. Camellias do require some pruning to reduce fly away stems and keep them at an even shape. Arrives to you in a 3 gallon-sized pot.
