Clematis macropetala 'Lagoon' Clematis are a large group of vining, flowering perennials that are known to grow on long vines and produce masses of prolific colorful flowers in pink, red, purple and white. Clematis are long-lived and vigorous growers, often growing to 30 feet long or more. Clematis prefer full sun, but can tolerate part sun in most conditions. It will need well-draining soil that is nutrient dense to establish, so consider amending the soil with fertilizers or organic material to promote growth and establishment during it's first year. It's important to note, that clematis will need to be planted near something that will help it vine: a fence, lamp post, mailbox, arbor or a trellis. Without support, clematis can become tangled and messy. 'Lagoon' is a truly easy-to-grow clematis! It features abundant, drooping, violet-blue single flowers.
