Delosperma 'Jewel of Desert Ruby'

Delosperma cooperi 'Jewel of Desert Ruby' Commonly known as Ice Plant, this low growing perennial features daisy-like ruby red flowers with white center and yellow halo in between making it a bold landscape feature. Succulent green leaves create a nice groundcover that can quickly spread up to 8-10" across. You can expect blooms from late spring into fall. Perfect for the sunny areas of your garden, plant Ice Plant in very well drained soil. They prefer average garden soils on the drier side so water sparingly during the growing season. Relatively drought and heat tolerant as well.  Suitable to plant in rock gardens, as a groundcover or in a mixed container with hardy succulents. Hens & Chicks, Festuca and Creeping Phlox all make excellent garden companions.  Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot.
