Helleborus x ballardiae Gold Collection® 'Mahogany Snow' Commonly called the Lenten Rose or Winter Rose. Featuring white single flowers that fade have strong pink backsides to the petals. A part of the Gold Collection®, this hellebore was bred for beauty! You can expect blooms from mid winter to early spring.  Helleborus is a family of early-blooming and cold-tolerant perennial flowers that appear in early February and can flower as early as late February.  They are typically evergreen perennials and do not lose leaf color or foliage during winter months. They are noted for their prolific early-blooming flowers that are downward facing, or drooping. Hellebores have become extremely popular in recent years due to being used in cut flower bouquets and floral installations.  Hellebores prefer shady areas or spots with dappled sunlight.  A great choice for a shade garden, cottage gardens, container plantings and underplanting of shrubs and roses.
