Nepeta 'Walkers Low'

Nepeta racemosa 'Walker's Low' Sometimes referred to as Catmint, this perennial features gray-green leaves that are highly fragrant when crushed or bruised. Expect fragrant, lavender flowers that bloom in clusters on a low, spreading habit from summer into early fall (April - September).  This low maintenance plant prefers full sun to part shade and average well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Butterflies and hummingbirds are attracted to the flowers while deer and rabbits will ignore it. Trim spent flowers to encourage re-blooming.  An excellent choice for those looking for a more formal country garden look. Perfect as a border plant especially along paths. Can be used in containers and cutting gardens as well. Iris, Poppies, Rudbeckia, Helenium and Roses make great companion plants in the garden.  Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot.
