Five editions made from 1989 to 1997 are featured in the gallery’s Colescott Print Shop.  Just one of many editions printed during Colescott’s 1989 residency at the esteemed Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Drive features chine collé, a technique for adhering a layer of thin paper onto a heavier base paper during the printing process. The weight of the lithography stone used to transfer the inked image onto the surface of the papers causes the layers of paper to bond.
