White Oak is naturally rot-resistant and strong. These qualities make it a good choice for outdoor use. White Oak has traditionally been used to make railroad ties, fence posts, ships, and whiskey barrels. White Oak usually has a finer texture and more patterned grain than red oak -Thickness is 2" nomial or 1.75" finished: This mean that the boards are cut at 2" and after drying and surfacing it finishes at 1.75" thickness. -Kiln dried -S4S : finished on 4 sides -Grade: Premium Grade lumber can include some defects, but it's usually at least 83.33% clear wood over its entire surface.
