Carbonati Street Sketch

This is a framed etching by the Italian artist A. Carbonati, dated Settembre 1921 (September 1921). The artwork appears to be one of a limited edition, as indicated by the numbering in the bottom left corner: 60/100. It depicts an old European street scene, likely Italian. There is stone archway leading into a narrow cobblestone alley with several figures. It is a fine pen-style etching, with heavy cross-hatching and delicate line work. It is set behind a purplish/gray mat and clear glass framed in a dark wooden frame. Hangs by wire on back.  15.5” tall by 12.5” wide by 0.75” thick
