Embossed Leaves Vortex Shawl

Welcome to another Bonita Patterns Crochet Along! You’ve asked, you’ve inspired, I’ve designed it! When I launched my first Mystery Shawl CAL, I asked members of our Facebook CAL Group (join here, if you haven’t yet) to guess the shape of the shawl and an astonishing number guessed and wanted to crochet a vortex shape. Well… it wasn’t. It was a winged shape. I have been long drooling over the knitted vortex shawls and wanting a comparably beautiful crochet design. I’m biased, but I think I’m in love with this one, especially because it was kind of magical to watch the shape magically appear just by increasing and decreasing on the right spots. Oh, and have I told you it's also reversible? A Note about Shawl Size Options: The shawl showcased on sample pictures measures 28” (71 cm) wide by 42” (107 cm) long, which is on the short side for a shawl or let’s call it a shawlette.
