Scots pine are one of the most common pines in Europe and Northern Asia. With a naturally short needle - 1-2" in length and a vigorous growth habit these are easy to train as young trees and simple to maintain as older trees. With better cold tolerance than Japanese black pine these are a good alternative for people in colder climates. Juvenile needles are typically longer than mature needles. These starters are in 3.3" plastic containers with a single stem. The trees shown are typical example, trunk size is up to 1/8" (less than the size of a standard pencil) approximate height - 3-6" The photos are representative, and do not show the actual tree(s) you will receive. Seed source: Northern Ireland.
