Between the Acts by Virginia Woolf U.S. FIRST EDITION / FIRST [1941] HARCOURT BRACE &COMPANY Hardcover sans dust jacket in good condition.     Blue cloth bound hardcover with  mild to moderate wear / soiling.  Binding is excellent.  Area of discoloration [color drain] towards bottom of spine. Endpapers have heavy tanning and a shop sticker on underside of cover.    Pages are strong, clean and evenly toned but have foxing to edges.   Heavy condensed foxing along edges of first two dozen pages.  [see last photo for the worst of it]  In Woolf's last novel, the action takes place on one summer's day at a country house in the heart of England, where the villagers are presenting their annual pageant. A lyrical, moving valedictory.
