R19Y1 Gill Coat (Red Waratah Nylon)
Hooded coat with a loose, long fit. Self-lined front and hood, internal chest pocket, enlarged slot buttons threaded onto seatbelt tape, slashed pockets that extend from the armholes. Made of 100% nylon. This original MAN–TLE fabric consists of a nylon plain weave that has been boiled and permanently shrunk using chlorides, a technique derived from the traditional method of producing silk crepe for the Obi belt by boiling in sea water. MAN-TLE's partnering mill in Fukui has developed their own method to create this crinkled texture with nylon. Heat treated, compressed and water-resistant, this fabric will become soft in humid conditions and remain stiff in dry conditions. Woven and finished for MAN-TLE in Fukui, Japan. Tai is 6'1", weighs 150 pounds, and is wearing a medium.
