An archival premium Quality art Print of the Goshawk and Stanley Hawk by John James Audubon for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artwork was for his ornithology book, The Birds of America,  published in the first part of the 19th century and has become one of the greatest books about birds ever printed, of course the pictures are what made this book famous. In this one he shows examples of two Goshawks, a male and a young bird, there is also a Stanley Hawk in this same picture. All three of the birds are in a swampy area with the young goshawk perched in a dead tree, while the two adult males are setting on grassy areas in the wetland. These large hunting raptors were picture of plate number 141 in the 1st edition of Birds of America, the Havell edition.
