This 3M Belt File utilizes 3M abrasive belts and Scotch-Brite belts for a variety of metalworking applications. Popular for use in collision repair for grinding through spot welds in high strength steel vs. throwing away expensive spot weld cutters. Grind and blend from contact wheel or platen, finish and polish from slack of belt. Wheels interchange easily in eight different optional attachment arms. Utilizes 1/2 x 18 inch belts with standard attachment arm, readily available anywhere 3M abrasive are sold (See documentation for part numbers and grits).
