About This ListingThis is a 4x6 studio gouache painting completed on professional-grade watercolor paper mounted to a cradled wooden panel 7/8 of an inch thick. To protect the water-based gouache paint from moisture, the painting has been lovingly treated with a spray varnish suitable for water-based media and a coat of UV-resistant gloss varnish.  About The Ocean-A-Day Collection The 31 paintings in this collection were all completed in January 2023 as part of a daily painting challenge. For inspiration and technical guidance, I used only reference photos I’d taken myself over the past two years at Sandy Hook, Asbury Park, and Ocean Grove in New Jersey, and at Muscongus Bay and Biddeford Beach in Maine. I had a lot of fun experimenting with brushwork, and the imperative to complete a full piece every single day forced me to paint and problem-solve more quickly than I’m accustomed to as a fiddly and particular artist.
