This is a color mutation of Nesodillo arcangelii, which is a medium-sized species from Taiwan. However, there is some uncertainty about whether these animals truly are Nesodillo arcangelii or if they were mistakenly classified as such. Further research is needed to confirm their taxonomy. They can adapt to a wide range of ventilation conditions, however, maintaining humidity and soil moisture is crucial because dry conditions can be fatal. This species is very forgiving and extremely prolific. They are typically active and can be easily found within their enclosure as they tend to favor surface activity over burrowing. Like other Armadillidae, they can curl into a ball when disturbed.
