Lobo Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

This Cab is meaty and big, but also has a very bright fruitiness that is classic and emblematic of our region’s red wine. We like to call it Washington candy which comes across like over-ripe black cherries and pomegranate, almost jammy at times. This is all of that but with a crispness and a lush butterscotch finish without being too heavy. It’s like Tupac’s “All Eyez on Me” album: spot on but also a little unexpected in a very, very good way. This wine can do it all from pairing with big chocolate chip cookies or mixed berry cobbler ala mode to that bone-in ribeye steak or summer-friendly, sauce-dripping ribs. It’s great now and will only get better with time!
