This is the world famous Saguaro cactus tree. It is slow growing to about 20 feet (6 meters) tall. It does not start branching until after 70-100 years of growth. Saguaro only grows naturally in the Sonoran Desert specifically Arizona. The fruits of saguaro contain millions of seeds, most of which are never germinated. Only in cultivation, can the yield of seedlings approach a high percentage of success. The saguaro does like water to be dripped directly above the roots during the summer growing season. It is cold hardy to about 20 degrees F. If colder wrap the top of the cactus with a blanket or burlap. You are bidding on one of the farm grown plants pictured.
