Roman Empire silver denarius coin. Struck for Emperor Trajan 103 to 111 CE at the Rome Mint. RIC 218, RSC 529a, approx 17mm. Excellent Imperial portrait and presentation of Dacian, shield and sword. Certified by NGC to Ch XF. Historic issue to celebrate Trajan's military victory and Triumph over the Dacians, likely issued 106 to 111 CE. Obverse: IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC PM TR P COS V P P, laureate bust right with drapery on left shoulder. Reverse: SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI, Dacian wearing peaked cap, seated mourning on shield with curved sword below.
