Emperor Trajan Roman Empire AE Dupondius coin, 11.91g, RIC 603v (drapery on left shoulder), Foss 57a (attributed to 113 CE).  Important historic military architectural commemorative reverse type. Trajan's column is visible in Rome today! Note detailed rendition of column, eagles and support base with entry door and window. NGC certified to F. Obverse: IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, draped radiate head right.  Reverse: S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI S C, Trajan's Column surmounted by statue of the Emperor at base are two eagles, supported by decorated base. Trajan's Column (Italian: Colonna Traiana, Latin: COLVMNA·TRAIANI) is a Roman triumphal column in Rome, Italy, that commemorates Roman emperor Trajan's victory in the Dacian Wars. It was probably constructed under the supervision of the architect Apollodorus of Damascus at the order of the Roman Senate. It is located in Trajan's Forum, built near the Quirinal Hill, north of the Roman Forum. Completed in AD 113
