Mint State Uncirculated Caesar Marcus Aurelius Roman Empire denarius coin. Struck as Caesar (Emperor in training) during the reign of his adopted Father, Emperor Antoninus Pius. Dated TR P XI COS II = 156 to 157 CE. Approx 18mm, 3.33g, RSC 721, RIC 473. Lustrous surfaces, superb youthful portrait of Marcus with medium beard & moustache. Certified by NGC to MS, Strike 4/5, Surface 5/5. Obverse: AVRELIVS CAES ANTON AVG PII F, head bare facing right. Reverse: TR POT XI COS II, Virtus helmeted standing left holding parazonium & spear. Virtus was the goddess of bravery and military strength, the personification of the Roman virtue. Some scratches on older holder, not coin. No International Shipping.
