Mint State Uncirculated Great Britain Conder 1/2 penny token coin. 1790s Middlesex, Sims' D&H 478a, the only token type for Sim's. Certified by NGC to MS 62 BN, dark toned with glossy chocolate surfaces. Slabbed in old NGC holder that has some scuffs/scratches. Obverse: Bust of Garrick facing right, WE NE'ER SHALL LOOK UPON HIS LIKE AGAIN.  Reverse: Tragic and comic masks, a thistle and crown above, sprigs below, SIMS RUSSELL COURT.  Edge: Plain. Pedigree: The Northwest Collection. David Garrick was a famous actor. Sim was the owner of the Garrick Head pubic house and was a theatrical agent. He had a daughter who was an actress.
