Superb late portrait of Septimius Severus with veiled and robed emperor sacrificing. Commemorative emission struck to celebrate the 15th reign anniversary and the undertaking of vows for the completion of 20 years. Heavy flan for this period. Certified by NGC to Ch XF. Obverse: SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate bust of emperor. Reverse: VOTA SVSEPTA XX, Severus standing left sacrificing out of patera over altar.
