Dated Byzantine Empire Emperor Maurice Tiberius follis coin. Maurice Tiberius reigned 582-602 CE. Certified by NGC without grade (my estimate is Very Fine). Æ Follis (40 nummia), Struck 584/5 CE. Obverse: Crowned & cuirassed bust facing, wearing consular robes and holding globus with cross & shield. Over struck on earlier follis coin. Reverse: Large M, cross above, A below, ANNO to left and reign year III to right, in ex: mint name not struck up. Maurice Tiberius was noted for his success against the Persians to the east.
