Finished in aged whiskey barrels. Critic tasting note: (2017 vintage) "This Shiraz is finished in aged Scotch whisky oak barrels and the result is a wine that offers plenty of wood-derived mocha and baking-spice aromas amidst plum and berry fruit. The palate is neatly balanced, chalky tannins cinching the plump fruit. Oak shows on the finish, and alcohol too, but overall, this is a solid bottling to open with a mid-week pizza or pasta.
