(syn Cornus angustata) The evergreen dogwood is a handsome specimen! The July display on a mature tree is quite long-lasting and breathtaking. The entire tree is covered with white flowers for a couple of weeks in mid-summer, generally when temperatures are at their highest. The blooms are followed by large red fruits which are edible. In winter, the foliage will turn a purple color which is quite pretty. In particularly cold winter, they may go deciduous. This is one of our favorite trees and we highly recommend growing one in your garden! [30'T x 15'W, Zones 7-9].
