Autumn Challenge

Observing a magnificent bull elk moving through the rising mists of dawn is the inspiration for "Autumn Challenge." The majestic sound of a bugling elk heralds the start of a perfect day in the Rocky Mountian wilderness. Imagine the thrill of waking up to the echoing calls and the cool edge of autumn on the mountain air. I enjoy the challenge of painting this ethereal time of day when the earth and sky seem to blend in the soft misty light.
