"Bakers Dozen"

Bakers Dozen - 24x36 acrylic abstract on canvas. My great grandmother had quite a fine reputation for her boarding house, in Hillsboro, a tiny Texas town. Every Sunday, her table was laden with a medley of her home-cooked specialties. I remember her well-worn wooden rolling pen. Its depicted here, along with hot freshly baked rolls… A baker's dozen is a gift of 13 pieces... one more than you expected. The blues in this piece remind me of a sense of home and hospitality. The blue circles represent family.
