To empty the recovery tank, there is an elevated dump valve off the rear of the machine which can dump into a 5 gallon bucket or a floor drain. To empty the solution tank when you're finished cleaning, simply take your 1.5" diameter vacuum hose, and suck all left over solution into the recovery tank, and then dump out the rear dump valve.
