FRILUFTSLIV Ring[free-loofts-liv] Norwegian Friluftsliv or “free air life” is all about embracing the outdoors and feeling connected with nature. It means forgetting about the fast pace of modern, urban life – finding a harmony between your inner self and the world around you. Also translated as meaning “outdoor life”, friluftsliv expresses the close relationship that Norwegians have with nature and how they prioritize time spent outdoors. As a philosophy, friluftsliv is basically about a simple life in nature without destroying or disturbing it. The pierced and sawn out band was created using what I like to call an appliqué technique.
