Fluorescent Flame Red

An ultra-bright synthetic! Like all our fluorescents, this fun glowy red is opaque and super smooth.  Fluorescents absorb invisible UV light energy and reemit it at a higher visible wavelength. This enhances the appearance of the pigment, delivering those eye-catching, radiant colors we love! Fluorescents are also fantastic for mixing a bit of brightness into core colors. So, the color swatch shown is a bit less glowy and bright than the color you'll receive! Fluorescents are also not lightfast, and painted fluorescents will fade by 50% if left in direct sunlight for 30 days. Fading can be reduced by coating finished pieces in a UV protective varnish and/or keeping them out of direct sunlight.
