One difference though between 2019 and 2020 is that the latter was notably more precocious; in fact two to three weeks in advance. We picked from the 28th of August to the 1st of September and while the fruit was quite clean, it was not especially abundant at an average of 30 hl/ha. Potential alcohols were more generous in that they came in between 14 and 14.2% save for one at 14.9%. I used varying amounts of whole clusters, from zero to 100%, during what I would describe as a very soft vinification.
