Grandpa's Barn

8x12 Oil on Canvas, canvas has a wide base to sit for display with no framing necessary.    Cardinal Climbing vines with their brilliant red trumpet shaped flowers are notorious for covering old buildings like a blanket. Grandpa's old barn and smokehouse were almost completely reclaimed by nature due to these vines, but Grandma didn't want them cut down because they bring the hummingbirds. :) Waves of red flowers hanging over mossy wood eaves call corresponding waves of hummingbirds to feast.  They create a new layer of shimmer from reflections of rapidly fluttering wings as the birds zip from flower to flower.
