8x10 Oil on canvas with vintage wood frame. Marie Laveau has a rich history in New Orleans, local hoodoo and Voodoo practioners still leave daily offerings at her crypt. I visited St Louis Cemetery #1 and left the appropriate offerings before I began painting her, it was a beautiful place full of stories and inspiration.
