
"Sky's the Limit," original painting, 36" x 12"
This painting has an upward, climbing energy that reminds me of Jack and the Beanstalk. The plant that continues to grow up into the sky with no limits to its growth. So, too, is our growth unlimited. We stretch ourselves and reach for our highest potential, which knows no bounds. The "Gaia" paintings developed out of an accident of spilled paint on the floor. I noticed the beautiful patterns in the puddle, and didn't want the paint to go to waste. I pushed a canvas into the wet paint, and discovered a whole new world of amazing patterns and designs. Since that epiphany, I have developed these paintings through the use of precise pull techniques and surfactants added to the paint. I continue to be amazed by the variety of art I can create this way, and each painting is completely unique and surprising.
