The price has been reduced to reflect this imperfection that has been remedied. Griswold enthusiasts will want this big dutch oven in their collection. For the home chef, this is a must have piece for soups, stews, and slow roasting. This Griswold #9 Button Top, Dutch Oven looks fantastic for its age. The bottom spins as does most of the dutch ovens at the time (the idea of flatness wasn‘t a thought at the time they were made) so while it will perform beautifully in the oven, stovetop connection will not be 100% with glass or induction.
