Emerald-cut tourmalines have become something of an obsession of ours. The way they catch and throw light and color, the fascinating movement in their inclusions--like tree rings, finger prints, evidence of time so far beyond us that our brain balks at it but evidence that we can somehow hold in our hands, and in this case, wear on our silly ears (our ears aren't especially silly, just all ears have inherent silliness).
