Saturn's Ocean Moon (Enceladus, your sea sings)

There is truly nothing like sapphires from the Umba River Valley in Tanzania; remarkable stones that reflect the generative power of the extraordinary landscape in which they were made. When held or worn, they feel like a portal into neighboring space or the deep deep of the ocean where humans still refuse to go. Or Saturn's moon, Enceladus, and its phosphorous containing sea; creation, monsters, connection before language.  This piece is the sister to She Protects from our first collection, A Memory of Water. Requested many times, it has taken us a year and a half to find another sapphire with the depth required to make this design the portal we wish it to be.
